Mahogany Throttle - Traverse

Recorded over a period of 3 weeks in a Milwaukee apartment, Traverse is an exercise in polyrhythm and melody, coupled with a driving approach which evokes imagery of a wide open road and the feel of a gas pedal being mashed into the floorboards.

Sonically, Traverse is a gorgeous expanse of tones and melodies. Recorded by Bill Curtis of Curtis Technology using his custom microphones and preamps, every note is available to the listener. From the idyllic expanse of "Bird Industry", to the stop-start urgency of "Standard Nice Room", through the release of "72 Spectacular Sound Effects", Traverse takes the listener on a journey to a place where words aren't necessary and melody is king.
